- Internship at Marine Biological Laboratory (Woods Hole, MA). Provide daily care and assist in research with cephalopods (Summer 2009).
- Collected and observed the moss, Fontinalis dalecarlica, for its phosphate activity as a field observer for a Master’s thesis (Fall 2009).
- Collected, cultured, and observed the Common Eelgrass (Zostera marina) as a surveyor for the 2008 Annual Submerged Aquatic Vegetation Monitoring Report (Summer, 2008)
- Provided daily care and feeding of a variety of fishes, invertebrates, as well as terrestrial vertebrates as an animal caretaker for the Biology Department at East Stroudsburg University (Fall, 2007 – Spring, 2009)
- Participated in field surveys and collections of marine plants and animals at many points along the eastern United States (NY, NJ, VA, FL) as a student. Familiar with otter trawls, long lining, plankton nets, benthic grabs, transecting, sample preparation and data collection
