I am a senior level of Aquaculture Scientist, had superannuated as Professor and Head from the Department of Zoology and Aquaculture, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar , India in August 2006. As to my qualifications/Experience and Expertise:

In addition, to obtaining basic degrees (B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D) from reputed Indian Universities, I had also obtained postdoctoral training/experience from prestigious Fisheries Institutions/Universities of France (INRA, Rennes), the Netherlands (W.A.U. Deptt. of Fish & Fisheries) and Belgium (Artemia Reference Center, Ghent Univ. Ghent)

I possess about 36 years teaching (Both at undergraduate and graduate level) and Research experience which also includes extension activities and training to farmers/entrepreneurs and scientists in fisheries/aquaculture.

Had guided a number of students for their Masters (M.Sc) and Doctoral degrees (Ph.D) in Fish Physiology/Reproduction/Aquaculture.

Had carried out 11 research projects on different aspects of Fisheries/ Aquaculture/Limnology and fish physiology funded by various National and International agencies.

Have a track record of publishing about 150 research papers in National and International journals of repute and had edited several proceedings and authored books useful for researchers/students/planners/entrepreneurs and farmers alike

Hatchery operation

Aquaculture of carps/Air breathing fishes/brackish water fish species.

Development of sustainable fish culture technology (ecofriendly and economically viable).

Presently, I am working as Professor (since March 2008) in the department of Biology, and Advisor at the Directorate of Research and Graduate programs in Eritrea Institute of Technology, Mai Nefhi, Asmara, Eritrea (N.E. Africa). My this assignment will come to an end during February 2010; therefore, I am looking for a suitable position as an aquaculture expert/consultant/advisor or a teaching position in an educational Institute/University in South-East Asia or in any other country.
