Northwest Fisheries Science Center - The Northwest Fisheries Science Center is one of five research centers of NOAA Fisheries (the National Marine Fisheries Service), and is responsible for providing scientific and technical support for the management, conservation, and development of the Pacific Northwest region's anadromous and marine fishery resources. NWFSC has an extensive set of publications dating from 1991. Proceedings titles are available (single copy) at no cost while copies are available.

- On June 30 2004, EPA finalized a new rule establishing effluent limitations guidelines (ELGs) for concentrated aquatic animal production (CAAP), or aquaculture, facilities. The regulation will apply to CAAP facilities that generate wastewater from their operations and discharge that wastewater directly into waters of the United States. The Guidance document is intended to help permit writers to develop wastewater discharge permits and producers comply with the requirements for their facilities.
