Aquaculture Wholesale Market Report
Week Ending September 6, 1996
HIGHLIGHTS
This report is for the week ending September 6, 1996. In
general, the reported prices were unchanged to lower. Boned rainbow trout, Atlantic salmon
fillets and boned coho salmon reported price increases. No price change was reported for
cajun-lemon pepper catfish fillets, catfish nuggets, tilapia fillets, whole Arctic char or
dressed white sturgeon. No dressed catfish was reported. The reported volumes were higher,
except for cajun-lemon pepper catfish fillets, catfish nuggets, tilapia fillets, whole
tilapia or dressed rainbow trout which were lower. Whole Arctic char and dressed white
sturgeon reported no volume change.
Shucked oysters in the ½ pints were unchanged in price but
increased 800 ½ pints in volume. Shucked oysters in pints were unchanged in price but
increased 2,800 pints in volume. Gallons of shucked oysters remained unchanged in price
and volume. Shell oysters were unchanged in price and 4,260 oysters lower in volume. Clams
were unchanged in price and 19,000 clams higher in volume. Mussels increased 21 cents per
pound in price and 3,650 pounds in volume. Black tiger shrimp were 33 cents per pound less
and unchanged in volume. Whole cooked crawfish, alligator tail meat and dressed
rattlesnake were unchanged in price and volume.
