Aquaculture Wholesale Market Report
Week Ending May 10, 1996
HIGHLIGHTS
This report is for the week ending May 10, 1996. The
reported prices were mixed to slightly higher. Price increases were reported for whole
hybrid striped bass, tilapia fillets, Atlantic salmon fillets, whole Atlantic salmon, and
boned coho salmon. Price decreases were catfish fillets, boned rainbow trout, dressed
rainbow trout and red meat trout fillets. No price changes were reported for cajun-lemon
pepper catfish fillets, catfish nuggets, dressed catfish, rainbow trout fillets and whole
Arctic char. Volume decreases were reported for whole hybrid striped bass, rainbow trout
fillets, dressed rainbow trout, Atlantic salmon fillets, whole Atlantic salmon and boned
coho salmon. Volume increases were reported for catfish fillets, tilapia fillets, boned
rainbow trout and redmeat trout fillets. No volume changes were reported for cajun-lemon
pepper catfish fillets, catfish nuggets, dressed catfish and whole Artic char.
Shucked oysters in gallons were unchanged in price and
volume. Shucked oysters in pints and pints were unchanged in price and 800 pints and 1600
pints less in volume. Shell oysters were unchanged in price and 3,520 oysters more in
volume. Hard clams were unchanged in price and 19,100 clams more in volume. Mussels and
black tiger shrimp were unchanged in price and volume. Crawfish tail meat was unchanged in
price and volume. Alligator tail fillets were unchanged in price and 75 pounds less in
volume. Dressed rattlesnake was unchanged in price and volume.
