USDA/ARS LAB to be Closed

The USDA/ARS Animal Biosciences and Biotechnology Laboratory in Beltsville, MD will be closed due to lack of funding in the 2009 President's Budget. This facility is instrumental to the hybrid striped bass industry in that it is an integral part of the National Program to Genetically Improve Broodstock for the Hybrid Striped Bass Industry. Please contact your Congressional members immediately, requesting reinstatement of the funds. For your convenience, attached is a sample letter.
