AQUAFEED NEWS IN SPANISH AND MANDARIN

(December 6, 2003) HONOLULU, HAWAI’I – Aquafeed.com, the aquaculture feed industry portal and website, is launching two new electronic newsletters for 2004. The newsletters, created to meet the information needs of the Latin American and Chinese markets, will be published monthly in Spanish and Mandarin.

“The newsletters will be tailored specifically to the aquaculture feed industries in China and Latin America,” Suzi Fraser Dominy, Aquafeed.com’s publisher said. “While some of the information will be a translation of English language news from the website and weekly newsletter, there will also be unique content specific to these important aquaculture markets, provided by our local editors in China and Ecuador,” she said.

“As with all our services on Aquafeed.com, the newsletters will be available without charge,” Fraser Dominy said. “Our objective is to support the aquafeed sector and we don’t want to put limitations on who can access the site or newsletters; as with our English language weekly Newsletter and website, these newsletters will be supported by supplier advertising.” “Fortunately, since we are the main information resource for and about aquaculture feeds and feeding, we are also the obvious vehicle for suppliers to reach their feed industry customers – and feed manufacturers in turn to market their feeds to farmers,” she added.

Launched in 1998, Aquafeed.com is the aquaculture feed industry portal and leading dedicated news and information provider for aquafeeds and feeding. The website provides industry news, technical, product and marketing information as well as interactive elements such as forums and expert advice. Each month up to 16,000 aquaculture feed industry professionals log on to www.aquafeed.com, view almost 100,000 pages of information and make 371,000 “hits”.
