Walter Landry Memorial Award

The Striped Bass Growers Association (SBGA) recently announced the establishment of the Walter Landry Memorial Award to be presented annually to a student for outstanding achievements in research on Morone saxatilis. The award and a travel assistance of $250 will be presented at the SBGA Annual Meeting which is being held in conjunction with World Aquaculture '98 in Las Vegas. The student's research accomplishments will be highlighted in the SBGA newsletter, "The Striper."

Entries should be submitted to "Walter Landry Memorial Award", Striped Bass Growers Association, PO Box 11280, Columbia, SC 29211 no later than October 1, 1997. Applicants should identify their academic affiliation and provide a summary (maximum 4 pages) detailing their research accomplishments.
