Fourth International Symposium on Tilapia in Aquaculture (ISTA IV)


The Aquacultural Engineering Society is pleased to be a co-sponsor of the Fourth International Symposium on Tilapia in Aquaculture (ISTA IV). The meeting is being sponsored by the American Tilapia Association and also co-sponsored by the International Center for Living Aquatic Resource Management (ICLARM). ISTA IV will be hosted by the Florida Aquaculture Association with Associate Sponsors: the Pond Dynamics/Aquaculture CRSP, the Israeli Fish Farmers Association and the Department of Fisheries of Mexico (SEMARNAP). The symposium will be held at the Coronado Springs Resort at Disney World, near Orlando Florida.

The 1997 AES annual meeting will be held concurrently and in conjunction with the Fourth International Symposium on Tilapia in Aquaculture (ISTA IV) to be held at the Coronado Springs Resorts at Disney World, Orlando, Florida. AES Technical Sessions will be co-current with the ATA sessions and address these topics:
A) Live transport of aquatic animals and plants
B) Biofiltration and water quality control in water reuse systems
C) Management techniques for pond and tank systems
D) Pollution control in aquaculture
Papers are invited for presentation on the above topics. ABSTRACTS should be sent to Dr. Michael B. The AES will be producing a proceedings as in the past and it will be available at the conference.

Key dates are:
June 1, 1997: Abstracts will be due
June 15, 1997: Selected authors will be notified of acceptance
July 31, 1997: Final papers (camera ready) will be due
