EPA Wetlands Information Hotline

EPA's Wetland Information Hotline is a toll-free telephone service that responds to requests for information about values and functions of wetlands and options for their protection. It also serves as a point of contact for the Wetlands Division within EPA's Office  of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds to provide a wide range of information. It has an extensive contact list to direct callers to appropriate regulatory agencies and provides information on wetlands related documents and accepts requests for certain wetlands publications. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Toll-free number is:  1-800-832-7828.

OTA Aquaculture Background Papers and Contract Papers

As you may recall Congress had requested the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) to conduct a full assessment of U.S. aquaculture.  To complete its task, an Advisory Panel was formed, workshops were held and a series of papers were contracted to serve as sources of information for the final report. This task was not completed  because Congress eliminated OTA as of September 29, 1995. Two Background papers were developed from this effort, Current
Status of Federal Involvement in U.S. Aquaculture ((OTA-BP-ENV-170) and Selected Technological Issues in U.S. Aquaculture (OTA-BP-ENV-171) in addition to a series of contracted papers. The two Background papers and selected contract papers are available from NTIS. To order call 703/487-4650 or for rush orders call 1-800-553-NTIS. You can place order with a credit card. To request an order form or more information  call 703/487-4679 or fax 703/321-8547.

Circulation of Information

To increase the accessibility and awareness of your publications, including technical reports, extension publications and other non-copyrighted materials, you may want to share a copy with the USDA National Agricultural Library. When doing so your publications are included in the AGRICOLA database and can be obtained through other libraries linked with the land grant university system. For more information contact:
