Qualifications:

Candidate should have degree in Biology or Aquaculture. Must have Minimum 5 years Experience in Fish Farming, Fish Husbandry, construction of Fish Facilities, and Supervisory experience a plus. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and a team player personality. Must be punctual and dependable. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to perform a mixture of bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing for the shift. Must be able to wear respirator when needed and have no breathing difficulties.

Must be a US Citizen with valid US Passport and no travel restrictions.

Description:

The systems installation supervisor will coordinate with customer facilities personnel to install systems for aquatics research. The systems are designed to hold zebrafish and xenopus frogs and occasionally other aquaria. This coordination will include preparing checklists for customer facility readiness. The position also requires that the supervisor plan the installation schedule with customer,and coordinate all travel requirements with the travel coordinator. Supervisor may be required to assist with estimating installation jobs, and may be required to make advance planning visits to facilities for larger jobs.

At company plant in San Diego, the supervisor helps to build the sumps and filter systems, and put them through testing before they are shipped to the end customer for installation. The supervisor for an installation crew is expected to be responsible for the job performance and safety of all employees. Installation supervisor will train the professionals at the research facilities to operate the systems.

This position involves travel in the US, Canada, and possibly Europe and Asia. Typical travel schedule is up to 2 weeks per month.
