Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Fisheries, Wildlife, or closely related field and an Alabama boating license or ability to obtain one immediately after employment. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required. Desired qualifications include experience with operating large motorized boats, including loading and towing boats. Description:

**This is a 1 year limited term position and is funded from external sources. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conduct routine field investigations related to funded research projects; assist with logistical considerations to include equipment, materials, and labor needs; collect data and samples related to ongoing research projects; record, compile, process, and analyze data and samples from routine scientific investigations; repair and maintain laboratory and field equipment such as microscopes, electrofishing, and telemetry equipment, boats, trailers, etc.; present results and observations to others via formal and/or informal scientific conferences and perform other duties as assigned.
