• Minimum of 2 years experience in aquaculture production
• Ability to supervise staff of technicians and laborers
• Ability to provide hand-on training and support to new staff members to ensure consistency of orientation and training
• Understanding of water chemistry analysis and filter management
• Strong mechanical and construction skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs safely
• Adjust to varying work schedule
Description:
Aqua Green, LLC is seeking an assistant manager for our 50,000 sq. ft. indoor recirculating production facility that is currently producing tilapia and red drum. Assistant manager will be responsible for all day to day operations of the facility, procurement of feed, supplies and equipment, and improving production efficiency. Proven commercial aquaculture production experience is required. Employees must be able to think creatively and strategically, participate in research activities as well as business development, maintain a flexible and adaptable working style, and display superb professional judgment and discretion.
