In cooperation with the WAS Employment Service
The technician is responsible for all collection and mortality records for both exhibit and research tunas and for all data obtained from necropsies on tuna from OBW and TRCC. S/he is also responsible for processing of acoustic, archival and pop-up satellite tag data from wild-tagged fish and captive specimens; monitoring the food rations for all TRCC specimens; collaborating with outside clinical contacts; and supervising two undergraduate research assistants. Extended time away from Monterey is also required.
This position requires a degree in biology, strong working knowledge of Matlab and Access for all data analysis and storage, and proficiency in the use of GIS in tag data analysis, as are boating Contact:
