Marine Aquaculture Class Project

Goal:

Develop a marine aquaculture business plan for some type of marine species using one of the production methods discussed in class.

Objectives:

1. To improve your ability to work in a group environment.
2. To learn to search the science literature for technical information.
3. To improve your communication skills through writing and oral presentations.
4. To enhance your ability to critically evaluate an aquaculture business plan.

Format:

1. Each group will consist of 4-5 students
2. Identify a group project for approval by instructor.  Project titles are due July 13, 2005
3. No more than 15 pages double-spaced excluded tables, references, and appendices.
4. Due date is July 27, 2007 by 5 p.m.
5. Graduate student Group will make a 20-minute presentation on August 2.
6. Presentations may consist of overhead, posters, PowerPoint, or other visual media.
